Happy New Years

We spent New Year's Eve with friends from our Branch. They have a big shop that they cleaned out and set up a projection screen movie and game sections. We had a great time ringing in the New Year with a pinata, card games and a bubble blowing contest.
Sister Hunsaker definitely won with this whopper!

Merry Christmas 2008

We love being at my parent's home for Christmas. When we drove up to their house it was dark and their Christmas lights were on and Mason said, "The gingerbread house!" It was very festive with the trees all wrapped in colored lights and the house neatly outlined in white lights.
Here are Rylie and Mason with some of their favorite presents.
The adorable backpacks are from my mom and dad.
(Sorry Mom you look funny in this picture and so does Mason actually, but the backpack looks great!)

Santa gave them Dora and Diego underwear. You can see how excited Mason is for them. He doesn't actually know what they are for yet, even though I have attempted several times lately to teach him.

This is what Santa left for Rylie and Mason. Mason was sure it was his basketball hoop until someone said it looked like a rocket. He was suddenly not so sure.
It was indeed a basketball hoop and Rylie's big package was a kitchen.
Fun with Nana and favorite Aunt Olivia making a gingerbread train.

Zach's Blessing

Isn't that just the cutest face ever?

Just so you all know how smart he is I will tell you he rolled onto his back right before this picture. And did it again several times the next week. I'm pretty sure we can say he is brilliant!

We waited until Christmas to bless Zach in Idaho with my family. It was worth the wait to have our families there. We picked Jane up in Utah on our way to Idaho and she stayed with us for the weekend to be there on Sunday when we blessed Zach. My Dad, Brother and Uncle were the priesthood that took part in the blessing. Jacob gave a great blessing while Zach cried and cried. When Jacob held him up, as all proud papas do to show off their beautiful baby, Zach took one look at the congregation and broke into the biggest smile ever.
We are so glad you all were there.Below is a partial shot of my mom and dad's beautiful, giant Christmas tree they get themselves and decorate every year.
You can also sort of see the cute booties I crocheted myself for Zach to wear with his blessing outfit. Thanks mom and dad for letting us do it at your house and for all the help with feeding our adoring family afterward.
