Redoing a bathroom -- Part 1

First you have to assemble your well dressed helpers and insist they roll in the dust on the garage floor.

Then tear everything out of the smelly old bathroom no one ever wanted to use and Kilz most of it.

And slowly, ever so slowly, start putting things back in.
As soon as we moved in we new the downstairs bathroom needed a major face lift. After Christmas we gutted the room (because that is free and easy to do after Christmas bills set in). Since then we have been waiting for the right amount of extra cash and time (both very precious in this house) to start the rebuild. Now that Caleb (Jacob's brother who is staying with us for a while) is here we have free labor to help get the job done. It has still take until now to get just this far. I hope I am posting a finished picture before Memorial Day, because 6 more people are coming to stay with us for the summer and we need more than one bathroom to share!!!!!

I'm pretty sure it's against blogging rules to say things like "because 6 more people are coming to stay with us" and not elaborate! ha ha. I know all about projects just like that. My house, and more specifically my yard, is full of them!
