After the parade our friends the Bahr's invited us to go to the river with them to play. They had a boat and ferried us all to this great beach where we played all afternoon. Unfortunately the boat wouldn't start when it was time to ferry us all back to the boat dock! Luckily there were three other boats at the beach and they loaded four families with all their stuff (there was really a lot of "stuff") into their boats and towed the broken one to the dock!
Tirzah LOVED the sand.
Zach doesn't need sunscreen he just covered his face in sand!
Rylie still loves to dig and pour and build in the sand
Eating-his favorite thing to do!
Jacob and our friend Troy Russon discussing important things (I'm sure!)
More friends-Doug Bahr (the boat owner), behind him in the red is Sheldon Taylor and sitting with the sunglasses is his wife Joy and then Mike Bahr in the neon yellow shirt.
Sitting in the mud bath the kids made for her. She crawled in and out of this mud hole for a long time.
Sand golf-a new game for us!
Troy and Joseph Bahr
Jacob and Sheldon
Mud ball anyone?
Do I still have to have a bath when we get home?
Rylie with Marisa Russon and Katie Bahr
It was so much fun to hang out with some of our best friends for the afternoon. See all the "stuff" we brought to ensure it was a good time. Lots of food, water, shade, treats and chairs!
Joy Taylor, Cami Russon and Laura Bahr
This looks like a VERY red Rylie. I don't think she was really that sunburned, but I know she was really that dirty and happy about it!
Sam Taylor with Rylie on a cool tree.
These two are actually good friends. He lives four houses down the street from us and sometimes accompanies his older sister when she comes to babysit for us.
That evening we invited everyone over to our house to roast marshmallow and watch the fireworks over the capital from our hill. The Taylor's brought their fire pit and everyone brought roasting sticks and good things to melt.
We are at the top of a hill and it was a great place to watch fireworks all over the horizon. We could turn a full circle and see colorful explosion everywhere!
It was a very full, fun day with friends.
