It is time for my monthly post. Lots has happened for our little family.
Jacob returned from Ecuador and had a great time playing in the jungle.
Rylie has been wearing panties for 2 weeks now!!! She turns 3 on Friday and I promised her a leotard and gymnastics if she could go in the toilet. It worked.
We just returned from a fabulous James and Julie Gneiting family reunion at Lake Powell over Labor Day weekend. It was a dream come true for lots in our family. A whole weekend plus of wake boarding and sun. We were able to spend Saturday with Kalle and Paul's family. It was fun to have their jet skis. The day flew by with all sorts of fun and sun and eating.
I am learning that my children have much better skin than I (Jacob said he would improve my skin gene for our kids if I would improve the height gene). I lathered us all up at the same times with the same stuff and my kids are browner and blonder and I am more red and freckled. Too bad I don't have pictures, but we are back to the old fashioned camera that was still around until the funds come in to buy a new digital. Rylie kept asking to see the pictures.
My whole family (yes, parents included) are all amazing on the wake board. Some are all about the air and jumping and others just crossing the wake. They are fun to watch. I still enjoy slaloming the best. Rylie even got to ride the tube with Olivia and myself. She had fun until she thought I fell off and then got really nervous.
Our real news though is that we are moving. I know, we just bought this house and now we are leaving. It is still a great rental and we will keep it for a while. Jacob came home from work Monday before Labor Day weekend mad at his boss and a job offer in hand. After much thought and prayer we have accepted the job in Albequerque, New Mexico. Jacob leaves today and we will move as soon as possible (by Halloween for sure). We will have to see what we can rent our home for and what is available for us to rent or buy down south. We are excited about our new adventure, just not about the packing and unpacking.

Alisha! Talk about a whirlwind of change! Sounds like you are taking it okay? You gotta do what's best for you family. We all know how that goes! I hope all goes well for you. Maybe by some miracle we might get to visit each other before you move off to New Mexico. If you need anything before you leave, please let me know.
wow! I hope all goes well with both moves!
That's awesome! Congrats on the new job and the move! Something fun, new and exciting for ya'll! And CLOSER to me! Just 12 hours from me now! YEAH!! Good luck with everything!! And maybe this new move, new money will allow for a new digital camera! :)
And funny about the skin thing... I don't think our kids stand a chance - we're both whitey's!
Alisha and Jacob - Congratulations on your new job, Jacob! We hope you will stay with us in Denver on your way to your new home. We are excited you will be so much closer so we can enjoy you as well as your kiddos! Aunt Bree
Wow! What a big change Alisha! I hear great things about New Mexico, it is supposed to be pretty and lots of artists around. ;)
What is the new job? Glad to hear you had fun in Lake Powell, your mom taught me how to waterski when I was home can you believe! It was great fun!
Happy third birthday Riley!
