Happy Easter

Here is our little diva posed by herself.
I bought the stuff, but she supplied the attitude. She has been asking for DARK, BARBIE glasses for about a year. I saw these at Kmart, but had to wait until the day before Easter to buy them (so she wouldn't see me buy them) for her Easter basket. We almost had a crisis because they had been moved in the store and no one I talked to knew where they were. I decided I would have to walk the entire store or have an Easter flop. I found them on my 2nd lap by the in progress summer display.
She saw them in her basket and exclaimed "My dark barbie glasses. Just what I have been wanting." Then later in the car she complained the entire way to church that they still let some light in!
I don't know about her.
I love new Easter Sunday clothes. I was even able to make a bow to match Rylie's dress. I am actually quite proud of myself. It was so fun I made several other bows from ribbon we had around.

Zach really does LOVE Rylie, but he HATES it when she holds him-even when she is sitting. He would much rather talk to her from a safe distance. Do you blame him?

Our community Easter Egg hunt was canceled Saturday due to 2 inches of new snow, wind and freezing cold. My neighbor was in charge of it and she said it was supposed to be 70 degree next Saturday and she didn't want to do it in the snow. They don't just do a hunt here-it is lunch, prizes and games. I don't blame her for wanting to wait.
Sunday the kids did a good job of waking us up before picking up any eggs.
Mason found two green eggs first and for some reason decided that was the only color he could keep. It took a while for us to convince him to keep all the ones he found. He would pick one up and say "Nope it's not mine, it's not green." and set it down and Rylie was quick to grab it for herself. Rylie bounced from one spot to the next all over the house. There are two eggs I can see still today that haven't been found. Maybe I will just take them.
During conference last week Elder Uchtdorf mentioned that it was Palm Sunday and it gave me an idea. We should talk about what happened in Christ's life each day of the week leading up to the resurrection. Jacob did a great job doing it and on Sunday the kids were able to tell us what happened from learning it in Primary. Even Mason told of the resurrection from his Nursery lesson.

You've got a sassy one on your hands, that girl! Good luck with her! ;) Your kids are so cute! I noticed that tag on Mason's shoes... you didn't take the picture and then return the clothes, did you?! haha - I only say this because I've done it once!

I love that idea from Uchtdorf. Way to go! I love the attitude too. It is hard to believe that Elia and Rylie are the same age. Rylie looks so much older... maybe it is the glasses :) The flip flops we got for Ethan have a little elastic strap on the back. They stay on pretty well, though I think I need to stitch the strap a little tighter. It would be super easy to make your own elastic back if they don't have one.

Rylie is looking so grown up! Wow, she's getting big. Very cute Easter stuff. And good idea from Elder Uchtdorf.

What cute kids! And I love your idea about talking about each day of the week before the resurrection! I just might steal that! Glad you had a great day!

That is a great idea for Easter. I thought about doing a passover dinner the Thursday before, but I only thought it. Maybe next year. Cute kids!
