Happy Birthday Zach!

Zach turned two!
He sure looks cute in this picture, but he has sure developed the "two year old" attitude. I miss my sweet baby already. He thinks he rules the house now.
We had a great family party at the swimming pool. He was not as into swimming as Rylie and Mason were at 2. I guess we will have to plan a better party next year.

Mason thought it would be a good idea to show Zach a picture of Nana and Grandpa so he knew who the presents were from. He got a piggy bank and lots of change to fill it up. He loved that part. He does not like that he can't carry the bank around and can only look at it on the dresser.

Just in case the "lovie" phase ends soon I wanted to document this.
Zach attached to the blanket that looks like this burp cloth under his cheek when he was about 1. After couple of weeks of dragging the blanket around I remembered my mom had also given him some burp cloths with the blanket. I found them and he easily traded in the blanket for them. Ever since they have been inseparable. He will sometimes leave it in the crib and save it for just nap time and night. But other times he has to bring it in the car and to the store. I was glad there were two so I could wash them one at a time.
A couple weeks ago he lost one. It was close to his birthday and my mom sent another one in his package. It looked different from the other two and it took a little getting used to, but now he likes it just as much.
He loves it tucked under his chin. He will walk around with his arm up and his head against his shoulder with his lovey in between. When he is sleepy he rubs it all over his face (which means it needs to be washed a lot!). He also loves the silky crochet around the edge. See how it is tucked under his chin for his nap with his fingers still hanging onto the edge even when he is sound asleep.

Oh my goodness, this is adorable!! I loved the whole "lovie" concept! My husband's grandma has made a few for our little one and i'm going to try it...the burb cloth size is perfectly acceptable to tote around anywhere! How cute! :o)

WOW! Sounds like Zach and Coco are one in the same... she rules the roost for sure. Or at least wants to. Cute story about the lovey! And I love the cupcakes! Never seen that idea, way cute!
