I headed to Idaho with kids to spend some time with Ani and Camilla while they were visiting. We planned trip to the cabin for the weekend, but the weather was not promising when the weekend arrived. In fact it rained the whole time we packed and the whole 1.5 hour drive to the mountains. We were not to be deterred because 3 kids, 2 babies, 3 sisters and 1 Nana know how to do a rainy weekend at a one room cabin. It did stop raining and we were able to enjoy a great time in the best place on earth. It was still a little cool, notice the swimming suits with the sweatshirts.
I brought some nets we had and the kids caught lots of minnows. There were probably twenty in this bucket Zach is looking in.
Rylie was a quick draw when it came to minnow catching.
Sometimes she even had to get in the frigid water!
Tirzah is still not walking so she is best corralled in the tube on the blanket, otherwise she is covered in dirt.
I would rather be out playing, mom.
Mason also caught a cup full of minnows!
At the edge of the river in front of the cabin.
Camilla thought it looked like fun to get in, until she felt how cold it was.
She is starting to venture farther into the water. I think her legs must be numb.
