I am back from summer (blogging) vacation. We have settled down a bit after months of travel and are anxiously awaiting the arrival of our little boy. Here is a little synopsis of what we've been up to.
Jacob started a new (temporary) job near Springerville, AZ three weeks ago. When we took the job we were told the project would be completed October 2009. After working for a week Jacob was told it would be complete March maybe December. I am hoping for March. We have a plan for the future, but I am going to save that, because it could defenitely change.
We moved Labor Day weekend from the middle of the city to the middle of the forest far, far away from Target, Sam's, and preschool. Our home is a furnished manufactured home (furnished in 50's furniture, an organ, dishes, records, decorations (all pink), towels, soap, you name it). Our stuff is in storage while we check out living in the 50's. We hear elk bugling every night and coyotes as well. Rylie and Mason find frogs and lizards everyday near our front steps.
Jacob hit an elk and we lost the Jeep (I have had it for the past 10 years, it was a sad good-bye). He has an hour commute each way to work, but is in a car pool, so I get to keep the car during the day.
I started Joy School with Rylie and Mason. I am hoping to find someone else to do it with soon, but didn't want to wait until then. They really love the attention from mom all morning (two days a week) and the great activities we do together. It has been easier than I anticipated to do by myself. We'll see how things go when the new arrival comes.
There is my little update. I did read all your blogs and try to comment, but my internet went out everytime I posted my comments so I gave up and just read the blogs.

I hope all goes for you guys in your new 50's home and with Jacob's job. Living in the forest will be quite an adventure. Tell Rylie and Mason to not go towards any houses in the woods that look like gingerbread houses. :)
Good luck also with baby #3 coming just around the corner!! How do you keep your sanity with so many changes lately?
Can't wait to hear more about your adventures and to see pictures of your new little one. Don't leave us hanging for TOO long.
p.s. It was good to see you this summer.
Wow! I can't believe how close you are getting to baby #3!! Good luck. I think #3 took a little longer to get back to a schedule, but that could have been the whole moving and buying our first house and a new job and living with grandparents for 2 months. It's fun to read about what you are doing! I hope that everything goes well for you.
So sad about the Jeep. For a very special treat you'll have to drive up to Alpine to the Bear Wallow cafe for breakfast. It may be a bit of a drive for you but let me tell you it will be worth it. We are willing to drive 12 hours for their breakfast and spend the rest of the year dreaming about them. And they have the cutest bear pancakes for the kids. Maybe you'll have to wait until #3 is all settled into the routine. And I'm dying to see pictures of this 50's PINK house! Just think of the stories you have to tell. Hang in there!!!
