Spring Break

I turned "30"!!!

And celebrated with 7 kids under 5 years old. We had a great time.

Caleb & Robyn came to stay with us for the week and they spoiled me for my birthday. I did no cooking, cleaning and minimal kid supervising.

It was a crazy week because Caleb just started working at the power plant with Jacob and Jacob went to night shifts during that week. Robyn and I did our best to keep a quiet house until afternoon, but with that many kids and lovely Wyoming weather we fought a losing battle. I think Jacob got 3-4 hours of sleep each day that week. We are so glad it was only for a short time, but the timing couldn't have been worse.

These two discovered they were best "wrestling" friends. Derek is only two months older than Zach, but he played more with Mason. They spent a lot of time together.

Zach and Derek enjoying a snack together. They usually had to eat far away from each other because Zach would try to steal everything off of Derek's plate only to throw it on the floor!

We did have one injury during the week. Fudge broke her back leg while jumping up on Caleb on the porch. She had to wear this splint and keep it "dry" during this "spring" break. We just wrapped it with a couple grocery bags. That was better than leaving her in the garage in a pen. Popcorn would get sooo bored without her and sit by the garage door waiting for her to come play. He was even gentle most of the 2 weeks she had to take it easy.
