Our cousins invited us to come stay at their new "cabin" in the Colorado Mountains for Labor Day Weekend. We participated in a duck race and had a great time waiting for the duck launch by playing in the water.
WAITING
WAITING
AND MORE WAITING
The firemen dumping the ducks from their ladder truck bucket.
The ducks are off.
Tirzah is holding her pretend baby while we wait for some yummy crepes.
Savannah and Tirzah holding their pretend babies.
The Henwoods took us to their favorite fishing hole-a stocked pond
It was so fun to see the kids catching fish after fish. Mason is a serious fisherman and this was his first successful trip this summer.
Savannah taking care of the baby.
Lots of fishermen!
We also went to a little lake to play and kayak. Here is the girl trip out on the lake.
It was freezing cold, but Mason managed a quick dip.
We started up the gas fireplace and even had smores.
Warming his backside.
Zach looks tuckered out after a fun filled weekend.
The girls even took the kayak out by themselves.
Our last event was a Rockies game on our way home. One small snag was forgetting about the dog. Justin's quick thinking and her good behavior allowed her to come with us as a "guide dog".
The game is fine, but the treats are the best.
Cheering for something-maybe the game!
These girls adopted the ducks from the race as their new pets and played with them all weekend. They are now penpals and send things to each other and their ducks in the mail.
Even the baby is cheering.
