The Theodore Roosevelt National Park is not far from Bismarck. At the entrance to the park is a great place called Medora. They have an outdoor theatre and daily shows all summer long. A friend volunteered to babysit so Jacob and I could go. Along with the show we did the Pitchfork Fondue Dinner. They "fondue" the steaks on pitchforks in big vats of oil. It was fun and nice to have such a long evening together.
The fondue site.
I questioned how sanitary it was to have all those steaks just sitting there at least an hour before the buffet started, but I guess when you cook them that hot all the germs die.
It was beautiful scenery.
A view of the outdoor theatre stage.
