Harris Reunion 2013

Our family was in charge of the yearly Harris Reunion.  I decided to do it at Mack's Inn, Idaho-my favorite place in the world.  We rented one big cabin and 3 smaller ones nearby.  We haven't seen some of these cousins for a couple of years and it was fun to get reacquainted.  There was a great grassy area in front of the big cabin where we played lots of fun games. In this game you search through whipping cream without using your hands to find a hidden candy.

Brigham vs. Dallin
Then Uncle Eric decided it was more fun to just spray the whipping cream straight into the kids mouths.  Mason LOVED this new game plan!

Jacob made little wooden boats for all the kids out of a 2X4 and a dowel for the sail.  The kids decorated the boats with markers and a paper that we laminated and hot glued to the dowel for the sail.  We spent one morning at my families dock and had races from one dock to the next with the boats.  The kids really got into it.

That is my family's cabin in the background.  I wish we could have just stayed here, but it is way too small for our very large crowd.
We went to 7 Brides for 7 Brothers at the Playmill in West Yellowstone on the Fourth of July.  Afterward Caleb and Robyn's family stayed in town to eat with us.
It was a long wait for our food with 8 hungry-antsy kids.
The next day we went Old Faithful.  Here is the excited crowd awaiting the eruption.
The view from the other end of our bench.
Another activity was floating down the river from Big Springs to the Mack's Inn bridge.  While we were waiting for our rafts to be brought up we had a little photo shoot.

Tirzah and Mary sat in the back with me.
It turned out to be a great time for everyone.  I think there were just enough activities to keep us happy, but not too many to make us exhausted.  This is the big cabin where the three families stayed (Jacob and Alisha, Caleb and Robyn, Lindsay).  This is where we ate and gathered for other activities.  The other families that came were Becki and Eric, Jane, Racheal and kids (for the last day).
