Sick Week

Last Friday my mom went home after helping us out for 5 whole days. We were all sooooo excited to have her come and enjoyed every minute of her stay. She was able to take the kids swimming, make cookies, drive to ballet and freeze a weeks worth of meals for when she left. I feel so lucky to have a mom who will leave her very busy life and travel for a whole day just to cook and clean for me. Thank you, Thank you mom!!!
This is how we all felt when it was time for her to go, but especially Mason. I was worried how long it would take for him to adjust to having my time and lap occupied so much by the new baby. My mom took over for me and he would have liked her to stay forever. They were best buds for the week.
This was my first week as a true mom of three. The week was complicated with Rylie and I having the flu for most of it. We both feel much better today and HOPE it is gone. I think we will survive having 3 kids although I will definitely schedule grocery shopping for a time by myself. Pushing a cart that holds all three kids is a workout and slows me down.

Moms are the best! So nice to have some help, especially with #3. Glad you're feeling better, and hope that all is going well. I'll call you soon, or give me a call. Ya, know when you have a free second:) I love the pictures. Such cute kids, and I love that Mason doesn't want Grandma to leave. I'm usually my kids' favorite with the exception of when my mom is around.

Yeah the first thing to go for me after #3 was grocery shopping with the kids. It's insanity. Mom's are the greatest. It gets easier, don't worry!

The shopping thing definately doesn't work since by the time you put all 3 kids in the cart there is only enough room for small things of candy that the kids pick up. Give yourself time. It takes a lot longer after #3. Some days I still don't feel like I'm all there, and Mercedes is almost 7 months!

SO sorry you were sick! That's the worst, we just had one of those of our own. And SO great to have your Mom come and help out for a week!!! Nice to know that just after a short time you feel as though you will survive being a mom of 3, it's good to hear that! Because I'm worried about that same thing! :)

p.s. - nolan has those same dino jammies... and i LOVE them on him... SO cute!

Good luck this week!
